Semi truck tire service in Amarillo and the Panhandle
Amarillo sits where I-40 and I-27 meet, so a lot of long-haul truck traffic runs through town. When a semi or commercial truck blows a tire out here, waiting for a shop to open isn’t really an option. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and drive out to the truck wherever it’s parked.
Call (806) 471-0109 and tell us your location, the type of truck, and what happened. We handle tire repair and replacement for semis, tractor-trailers, and other commercial trucks broken down on the interstate, at a weigh station, or anywhere else around Amarillo.
Who we help
- Long-haul drivers with a blowout on I-40 or I-27
- Regional and local trucks hauling freight, feed, or cattle through the Panhandle
- Fleet trucks that need a tire handled without towing the rig back to a yard
Meatpacking is a major employer in Amarillo, and cattle trucks and reefers are part of the traffic here. A flat on one of those runs gets expensive fast, since every hour the load sits still costs money. Getting the tire fixed roadside instead of waiting on a tow keeps the truck moving.
Steer, drive, and trailer tires
A blowout doesn’t always mean the same repair. A steer tire issue is usually the one that gets a driver to pull over fastest, since it affects handling right away. Drive axle tires run in duals, so a flat on one side isn’t always obvious from the cab, a driver, dock worker, or another trucker often catches it first. Trailer tires are the same story: easy to miss until someone flags it down. Whichever position it is, we look at the whole set while we’re there, not just the tire that flagged the problem.
How it works when you call
- Call (806) 471-0109. Give us your location (a mile marker or exit number helps if you’re on the interstate), the truck type, and what happened.
- We quote the job on the phone. You’ll know what to expect before we’re on the way.
- We drive to your truck. Shoulder, weigh station, rest area, or yard, wherever it’s sitting.
- We handle the tire there. A repair where it’s safe to repair one, or a replacement mounted right on site.
Tell us the size up front
Give us your tire size and position (steer, drive, or trailer) when you call. We’ll tell you straight whether we can repair it or bring a replacement before we drive out, so you’re not standing on the shoulder waiting on a surprise.
Why a mobile call beats sitting at a truck stop
Limping a loaded trailer off the interstate to go find a shop with an open bay costs time you don’t have on a schedule. We come to the truck instead. Less time parked on the shoulder, less time your load sits still, and no detour off your route.
We stick to tires here. If a truck needs mechanical work, we’ll tell you plainly rather than trying to cover something outside what we do.
Where we work
We cover Amarillo and the surrounding Panhandle, including routes through Canyon and Hereford. If it’s a car or pickup instead of a commercial truck, our 24/7 roadside tire service page covers that. You can also see our full service area or request service online if you’d rather not call.
Do you work on tractor-trailers, or just the tractor?
Both. We handle tires on the tractor and the trailer, loaded or empty.
What if the trailer is loaded and can’t be moved?
We come to the truck wherever it’s parked. A loaded trailer doesn’t need to be unloaded for a tire repair or a tire swap; we work on it right where it sits.
How much does semi tire service cost?
We quote the price on the phone before we drive out, based on the truck and the tire needed. No surprise pricing once we arrive on site.
What if I’m broken down outside Amarillo city limits?
Call anyway. We cover the Panhandle beyond city limits, including the areas around Canyon and Hereford. Tell us your location and we’ll let you know if you’re in range.
What if only one tire in a dual set is flat?
Call us anyway rather than trying to run on it. A flat dual puts extra load on the tire next to it, and driving any distance on a flat dual can damage the good tire too. We’ll check both before we leave.
